Product Description

Waterproof Toiletry Bag with Viewing Window — Welded TPU Gear Pouch

The SEALOCK SL-P255 is a container rather than a bag. It holds a rigid box shape at 25 × 15.5 × 13.5 cm, stands upright on a bathroom shelf or a boat deck without tipping, and opens flat along a full-length waterproof zipper so the entire contents are visible in one motion. A transparent window on one side means you can identify it without opening it at all.

That combination — structured form, full-width opening, and a window — is what separates a working organiser from a pouch you end up emptying onto a bed to find anything. Wet wash kit, spare electronics, a first aid kit, cables and chargers, ammunition, medication, fishing terminal tackle: all of it stays dry, stays sorted, and stays findable.

At 150 grams in welded TPU laminate, with four colourways including a multicam pattern, the SL-P255 works as a dopp kit for travel, a dry organiser inside a larger pack, and a field pouch where the contents matter more than the bag.

Why the Box Shape Is the Feature

Most waterproof pouches are flat sleeves. They are cheap to produce, they pack flat, and they are close to useless as organisers — a flat pouch with hard contents becomes a lumpy parcel, it will not stand up, and the opening collapses shut the moment you let go of it. You end up holding it open with one hand and digging with the other.

The SL-P255 is welded as a structured box with formed corners and a flat base. It stands on its own. It stays open when unzipped. Set it on a bathroom shelf in a hotel or on a hatch cover on a boat and it behaves like a case, not a bag. For a wash kit this is the difference between a product people use and one they replace.

The shape also uses space properly. A flat pouch holding a bottle, a charger, and a razor wastes the volume around them; a box of the same nominal capacity actually fits them. At 5.2 litres of formed volume, this pouch swallows a full travel wash kit or a substantial field first aid kit.

The welded box construction stands upright and stays open — a flat pouch does neither.

The Window Solves a Problem Every Packed Bag Has

Once you own more than one pouch, they all look identical from the outside. The window removes the guesswork: contents are identifiable at a glance, so the right pouch comes out of the pack the first time.

This matters most in the situations where opening a waterproof container is genuinely inconvenient — a first aid pouch in a kit bag where seconds count, a cable pouch at a security checkpoint, a wash kit in a shared bathroom, an ammunition pouch that needs to be identified without unsealing. Every unnecessary opening is also a zipper cycle, and on a sealed zipper the cycles are what eventually wear the sealing surfaces.

The window is welded into the body panel rather than sewn in, so its perimeter is not a leak path. It is positioned on one face only; the opposite face carries the branding area and stays solid, which is what allows a printed or embroidered logo to sit cleanly on a full panel.

Waterproof Zipper — Why Not a Roll-Top Here

We build roll-top closures across most of our dry bag range because they are the most durable waterproof architecture available. On a pouch this size, a zipper is the better engineering decision, and it is worth explaining why rather than presenting it as a cost choice.

A roll-top needs roughly 10 to 12 centimetres of material above the contents to fold three turns. On a 30-litre dry bag that is a small proportion of the height. On a 13.5-centimetre-tall pouch it is most of the bag — you would lose nearly half the usable volume to the closure, and the rolled top would sit as a bulky wad on a container designed to pack flat against other items. A roll-top also has to be unrolled and re-rolled every time, which on a wash kit opened three times a day is a poor trade.

The sealed zipper runs the full length of the top and around both ends, so the pouch opens wide enough to reach every corner. Two things follow that buyers should pass to end users: it runs stiffer than a conventional zipper, especially when new, because the resistance is the sealing surfaces compressing; and it must be closed completely into its end stop, since a sealed zipper left short is simply an open bag.

The sealed zipper runs the full length and around both ends for wide access.

Carry and Attachment

Adjustable Webbing Strap

A side-release buckle strap for carrying the pouch by hand, hanging it from a hook or a rail, or clipping it to a pack, a bunk, or a deck line.

End Grab Loop

A reinforced loop at the opposite end for pulling the pouch out of a packed bag with one hand.

Flat Base

The formed base keeps the pouch upright on a shelf, a deck, or a tailgate rather than tipping and spilling its contents.

Welded Anchor Platforms

Strap and loop anchors mount on welded platforms rather than stitching through the shell — a stitched anchor on a waterproof panel is a hole you then have to seal again.

150 g Empty Weight

Light enough that it costs nothing to carry inside a larger pack, which is where most of these pouches actually live.

Stackable Form

The regular box shape packs against other items without wasting the space around it, unlike a rounded or flat-sleeve pouch.

TPU Laminate and Welded Construction

The body is TPU laminate, high-frequency welded throughout. There are no stitch holes anywhere in the waterproof shell, which removes the failure mode that ends most stitched-and-taped waterproof products: the tape is always the weakest component, and it lifts long before the fabric wears out.

TPU is specified here over PVC for two reasons that matter on a small container. It holds a formed shape at a lighter gauge, which is how a 5.2-litre structured box comes in at 150 grams. And it stays flexible in cold without the plasticiser migration that gradually stiffens PVC — relevant on a pouch that gets creased at the zipper line every single time it is opened.

Welded Body and Corners

High-frequency welding fuses every seam and formed corner into continuous material, producing joints as watertight as the panels themselves.

Welded Window Frame

The clear panel is welded into the body aperture, so the window perimeter is part of the sealed shell rather than a separate joint.

Bonded Zipper Interface

The sealed zipper is bonded into the opening and checked for full-length engagement, including the returns around both ends.

Load-Rated Hardware

Side-release buckle and strap adjusters specified to hold at low temperature and after salt exposure rather than to hit a price point.

Customization for Brands and Buyers

SEALOCK has manufactured waterproof gear for over 20 years, with production in Dongguan, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Small welded organisers like this one are among the most commonly customised products we make, because the solid branding panel takes a large logo cleanly and the unit cost suits promotional and gift-with-purchase programmes as well as retail.

Beyond logo and colourway work, we develop structure from the ground up: altered dimensions and capacity, a second window or a solid both-sided body, internal dividers and elastic retention loops, a hanging hook for bathroom use, MOLLE backing for pack attachment, a mesh lid pocket, and alternative zipper and hardware specifications. A nested set of two or three sizes in matching colourways is a frequent request and is straightforward to tool. Ground-up development runs longer than branding work, and we quote a schedule you can plan a launch around.

How It Is Built

01

Material Verification

Laminate rolls are checked for coating consistency and colour against the approved standard; sealed zippers, window film, buckles, and webbing are verified before release to the line.

02

Panel Cutting

Body panels, gussets, window aperture, and base are cut to fixed tooling. On a formed box, dimensional accuracy is what makes the corners meet squarely.

03

Window and Platform Welding

The clear panel and the strap anchor platforms are welded onto flat panels first, while every weld line is fully accessible and inspectable.

04

Body Forming and Welding

Side seams, base, and corners are high-frequency welded to form the box structure, producing a continuous shell with no stitch penetrations.

05

Zipper Bonding

The sealed zipper is bonded into the opening including the returns at both ends, then checked for full-length engagement and smooth travel.

06

Test, Inspect, Pack

Batch samples go to water testing; the balance is inspected for appearance, window clarity, corner formation, and zipper operation before packing.

Testing and Inspection

Inspection runs at three stages — IQC on incoming materials, IPQC through welding and assembly, and OQC before the container is sealed. SGS or QIMA third-party inspection is available on request, and buyers running their own protocol are welcome to execute it in full on site: unboxing, vacuum extraction, 24-hour static rest, and air-leak determination.

Test What It Establishes
Heavy Rain & Water-Jet Test Sealing performance of the zipper line, window frame, and welded shell under sustained directional water.
Bonding Strength Test Weld integrity at seams, formed corners, window frame, and zipper interface under peel load.
Zipper Fatigue (3,000 cycles) Sealing performance retained across a full service life — the critical test for a pouch opened several times a day.
Window Flex & Clarity Test Film durability and optical clarity after repeated flexing and compression in a packed bag.
Tensile Strength Strap, buckle, and grab loop anchor strength at and beyond rated load.
Salt Spray Hardware and zipper resistance to sustained saltwater exposure.
Abrasion Resistance Surface durability at corners and base, where a pouch carried inside a pack takes the most contact.
Colour Fastness & Colour Difference UV retention and batch-to-batch consistency, including registration on the camouflage pattern.

Questions Buyers Actually Ask

Can I submerge it?

It is built to survive immersion incidents — a dropped pouch, a swamped hatch, a bag that goes over the side and is retrieved. It is not designed for deliberate or prolonged submersion. For sustained underwater use, a roll-top closure is the correct architecture and we build that in our dry bag range.

Why a zipper instead of a roll-top?

On a pouch 13.5 cm tall, a roll-top would consume most of the usable height and add a bulky rolled wad to a container designed to pack flat. The zipper gives full-width access with no volume penalty. On larger dry bags we specify roll-tops for exactly the opposite reason.

Why is the zipper so stiff?

Because it is a compression seal, not an interlocking coil. The resistance is the sealing surfaces pressing together, and it eases over the first weeks of use. A waterproof zipper that opens easily out of the box is usually not sealing.

Will it stand up on its own when full?

Yes — that is the point of the formed base and welded corners. It also stays open when unzipped, which a flat pouch does not.

Can the window be removed for a solid body?

Yes. A solid both-sided version is a straightforward ODM change and is often specified where the whole surface is wanted for branding, or where contents should not be visible.

Can you make a matched set of sizes?

Yes, and it is one of the more common requests on this platform. Two or three nested sizes in matching colourways retail well as a set and tool easily from the same base structure.

Does the strap detach?

The strap adjusts and buckles for carrying, hanging, or clipping to a pack. If a fully removable strap or a fixed hanging hook suits your programme better, both are standard ODM options.

What is the minimum order quantity?

500 pieces. For mixed-colour orders, nested sets, or project-specific requirements, contact info@sealock.com.hk.

Explore More Waterproof Storage

For larger dry storage with a roll-top closure and a transparent panel, see our 15L and 20L Roll Top Dry Bag, which uses the same viewing-window logic at a scale where a roll-top makes sense.

If the contents need to be worn rather than packed, our Roll Top Waterproof Waist Pack and Waterproof Fishing Waist Pack cover body-worn waterproof carry.

The SL-P255 is the one to specify when the pouch lives inside something else — a duffel, a pack, a boat locker, a suitcase — and needs to keep its contents dry, sorted, and identifiable without being unpacked.

Keeping It Serviceable

On a sealed-zipper pouch, nearly every premature failure starts at the zipper. Everything below is downstream of that.

  • Rinse the zipper with fresh water after saltwater or beach use, working the slider back and forth under the stream to flush the tooth chain.
  • Apply zipper lubricant to the tooth chain periodically — a dry sealed zipper wears its own sealing surfaces and grows progressively harder to close.
  • Never force the slider over grit. Stop, flush the chain, then close it.
  • Store with the zipper closed but not under tension, and with the pouch empty or lightly filled so the corners hold their form.
  • Wipe the window with a soft damp cloth only; abrasive cloths and solvents cloud the film permanently.
  • Air dry fully before storage, especially after use as a wash kit — a sealed container holds moisture as effectively as it excludes it.
  • Clean the body with mild soap and water. Solvents and alcohol-based cleaners attack the laminate.
  • Small punctures can be patched with TPU repair tape; welded seams cannot be field-repaired, so protect corners from abrasion.

Safety Notes

  • Close the zipper fully into its end stop before any water exposure — a sealed zipper left short is an open container.
  • Test the pouch empty after long storage before trusting it with electronics, medication, or documents.
  • Do not use a pouch with a damaged zipper, cracked window film, or separated welds.
  • Waterproof is not impact-proof or crush-proof; cushion fragile contents inside the pouch.
  • The pouch is not a flotation device and should not be relied on to float a load.
  • Where the pouch is used for medication or first aid supplies, check contents and expiry dates on the schedule your programme requires; a sealed container does not extend shelf life.
