How to Choose a Waterproof Backpack

Waterproof backpacks use roll-top or airtight-zip closures. Roll-tops are simple and adjust to the load; airtight zips give fast access and a clean look for commuting. The harness should be attached through welded reinforcing patches so no stitches pass through the waterproof shell. For size: 15 to 25 litres for commuting and day trips, 25 to 35 litres for longer days, 40 to 60 litres for overnight and kayak camping.

Every order passes through incoming material inspection (IQC), in-process checks during welding and sewing (IPQC) and final inspection (OQC), with SGS or QIMA third-party inspection available on request. Our test programme covers seam tensile and bonding strength, load testing of 1,500+ cycles, zipper testing to 3,000 cycles, salt spray on hardware, abrasion, and colour fastness and colour difference against the approved sample. Waterproof ratings are verified on the bag itself: a heavy rain and water-jet test for IPX5 and IPX6 models and a full water-immersion test of 2+ hours for IPX7 and IPX8 models.
