Product Description

Lightweight Running Waist Pack with Touchscreen Window

The SEALOCK SL-P631 weighs 150 grams and disappears against the body. It is built for the trips where a technical dry bag is more equipment than the situation calls for — a morning run, a walk into town, a festival, a theme park, a travel day — but where a phone, cards, and keys still need somewhere secure that is not a pocket.

Its defining feature sits on the back panel: a transparent touch-sensitive window that lets you use the phone while it stays inside the pack. Check pace, skip a track, answer a message, or scan a boarding pass without unzipping anything. The interior is divided into two compartments plus a small mesh pocket, so cards and keys are not buried underneath the phone every time you reach in.

The shell is a water-repellent heather-textured polyester that sheds rain, sweat, and splashes. Four colourways — rose, charcoal, mint, and mauve — and a fully adjustable webbing belt with a side-release buckle.

Water-Repellent, Not Waterproof — and Why That Is the Right Specification Here

We manufacture welded, IPX-rated waterproof gear, so it is worth being precise about what this pack is. The SL-P631 is a sewn pack in a water-repellent coated fabric. It handles rain, sweat, spray, and a spilled drink. It is not sealed, it is not immersion-rated, and it should not be specified for paddle sports or anything where it will go under.

That is a deliberate design decision rather than a compromise. Waterproof construction costs weight, costs flexibility, and costs breathability — a welded pack has none, which is fine strapped to a hip on a kayak and unpleasant against a running vest. At 150 grams with a fabric that moves and breathes, this pack does the job a runner or a traveller actually needs, and does it in a form they will keep wearing.

If your programme needs genuine immersion protection, our welded roll-top and sealed-zipper packs are the correct products, and we have linked them at the end of this page. Specifying a sewn pack for water use produces returns; specifying this one for the use it was built for does not.

The Touchscreen Window

A transparent TPU film panel is set into the back of the pack, sized for a modern smartphone. It is touch-transmissive, so the screen responds through it — swipe, tap, type, and scroll without opening the zip.

The practical value shows up in the situations where opening a bag is genuinely inconvenient. Mid-run, unzipping a pack means breaking stride and fumbling with a phone in a sweaty hand. In a queue with a boarding pass or a ticket, it means holding up the line. On a bike at a light, it means one hand off the bars. The window removes all of those interactions.

Two things worth telling end users. The window sits against the body when worn, so the pack is turned to the front to use it — which is also what stops accidental screen presses while running. And Face ID and fingerprint recognition generally will not read through the film; the window is for operating an already-unlocked phone, not for unlocking it.

The touch-transmissive window lets the screen be used without opening the pack.

Interior Organisation

Three litres of undivided space is a bag where everything ends up at the bottom. The SL-P631 splits the interior instead.

Two Internal Compartments

A divider separates the phone from everything else, keeping the screen away from keys and hard items and holding the phone flat against the touch window.

Small Mesh Pocket

An open mesh pocket for the items that would otherwise be impossible to find — coins, a hair tie, a spare key, lip balm, an earbud case.

Full-Length Main Zip

The opening runs almost the full width of the pack, so the interior is visible in one motion rather than dug through.

Curved Body Shape

The pack is shaped to follow the waist rather than sitting as a flat rectangle against it, which is what stops it from riding up when worn under a jacket.

Adjustable Webbing Belt

A wide adjustment range with a side-release buckle, worn at the waist, on the hips, or across the chest as a sling.

150 g Total Weight

Light enough that a loaded pack is dominated by its contents, not by the pack itself — the threshold below which people stop noticing they are wearing it.

Two compartments and a mesh pocket keep a phone, a power bank, and small items separated.

What It Carries

Use Case Typical Load
Running & Training Phone, keys, card, energy gel, earbud case
Everyday & Commuting Phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, hand cream, power bank
Travel & Transit Passport, boarding pass, phone, cables, medication, snacks
Festivals & Events Phone, cash and cards, sunscreen, tissues, sunglasses
Theme Parks & Days Out Phone, tickets, wallet, compact camera, small water bottle

The 7 cm depth is what makes the shape work. A deeper pack of the same volume stands proud of the body and swings when you move; this one stays flat enough to wear under a jacket without a visible bulge.

Four Colourways

The heather-textured fabric is the reason this pack reads as a lifestyle product rather than technical equipment. A flat solid colour in coated polyester looks like gear; a melange weave looks like something you would wear into a coffee shop, which is where a large share of these packs actually spend their lives.

Rose and mint sit in the activewear and youth segments where the category is otherwise almost entirely black. Charcoal is the volume seller and the safe choice for a mixed-gender range. Mauve tends to perform in gifting and promotional programmes. For OEM orders, Pantone matching is available across the body fabric, with contrast options on webbing, zipper tape, and pulls.

Four stock colourways in heather-textured polyester, with Pantone matching for OEM orders.

If the pack will see genuine water — paddling, wading, rafting — a repellent fabric is not enough. Our Roll Top Waterproof Waist Pack uses a welded 500D PVC body with an IPX7 roll-top closure and adjustable capacity.

For a welded TPU pack with a sealed roll-top and cross-body sling carry in a lighter, softer build, see the TPU Roll Top Waterproof Waist Pack.

For fishing, where external tool carry matters, the Waterproof Fishing Waist Pack adds MOLLE webbing and adjustable rod straps to a sealed-zipper body.

The SL-P631 is the one to specify when weight, comfort, and everyday wearability matter more than immersion protection — and it is the highest-volume product of the four for exactly that reason.

Customization for Brands and Buyers

SEALOCK has manufactured outdoor and sports carry gear for over 20 years, with production in Dongguan, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Lightweight sewn packs like this one run alongside our welded waterproof lines, which means a buyer building a range can source a technical dry pack and a lifestyle waist pack from the same factory, on the same schedule, with matched branding.

Beyond logo and colourway work, we develop structure from the ground up: altered proportions and capacity, a resized or repositioned touch window, additional pockets or dividers, a reflective trim package for night running, a headphone port, alternative belt widths, an elasticated belt for a closer fit, and different zipper and hardware specifications. Ground-up development runs longer than branding work, and we quote a schedule you can plan a launch around rather than an optimistic one you have to work back from later.

How It Is Built

01

Material Verification

Fabric rolls are checked for weave consistency, colour, and repellent coating performance against the approved standard; zippers, webbing, buckles, and window film are verified before release to the line.

02

Panel Cutting

Body panels, window aperture, and dividers are cut to fixed tooling, holding the dimensional consistency that a curved body shape depends on.

03

Window Assembly

The touch film is bonded and bound into the back panel while it is still flat, and checked for clarity and touch response before the panel goes into assembly.

04

Body Assembly

Dividers and mesh pocket are set, the main zipper is fitted, and the body is closed with reinforcement at every stress point.

05

Belt & Hardware

Webbing anchors are bar-tack reinforced and the buckle is function-checked through its full adjustment range.

06

Inspect & Pack

Every unit is checked for appearance, stitch quality, window clarity, touch response, and zipper operation before packing.

Testing and Inspection

Inspection runs at three stages — IQC on incoming materials, IPQC during assembly, and OQC before the container is sealed. SGS or QIMA third-party inspection is available on request, and buyers running their own protocol are welcome to execute it on site.

Test What It Establishes
Spray Rating Test Water-repellent performance of the shell fabric against rain and splash, and retention after washing.
Seam Strength Test Stitch integrity at body seams and divider attachment under load.
Bar-Tack Pull-Out Test Reinforcement stitching strength at belt and buckle anchor points.
Zipper Fatigue (3,000 cycles) Main zipper operation across a full service life.
Touch Window Response Test Screen responsiveness through the film, and optical clarity after flex cycling.
Window Flex & Crease Test Film durability against the repeated bending a body-worn panel receives.
Tensile Strength Webbing and buckle strength at and beyond rated load.
Colour Fastness & Colour Difference UV and rub fastness on heather fabrics, and batch-to-batch consistency across four colourways.

Questions Buyers Actually Ask

Is it waterproof?

No — it is water-repellent. It sheds rain, sweat, and splashes, and it is not sealed or immersion-rated. For water sports, specify one of our welded roll-top or sealed-zipper packs instead.

Does the touchscreen actually work through the window?

Yes, for normal touch operation — swiping, tapping, typing. Face ID and fingerprint sensors generally will not read through the film, so the window is for using an unlocked phone rather than unlocking it.

What size phone fits behind the window?

The window is sized for mainstream handsets up to roughly 6.7 inches. Larger devices will fit inside the pack but may extend past the window edge, which limits how much of the screen is usable.

Will it bounce when running?

The curved shape and the wide belt adjustment are what control this. Worn snug at the waist rather than loose on the hips, a normally-loaded pack stays stable. A pack cinched over a thick jacket will move more.

Can it be worn across the body?

Yes. The belt adjusts long enough for cross-body sling carry, which is the more common configuration for travel and everyday use.

Will the window crack?

Touch film stiffens with cold and UV over time, and the window is the component most likely to show wear first. Storing the pack flat rather than folded across the window, and out of direct sunlight, extends its life considerably.

Can you add reflective trim?

Yes. A reflective package is one of the more common ODM requests on this platform for running-focused programmes, and it is straightforward to add.

What is the minimum order quantity?

500 pieces. For mixed-colour orders or project-specific requirements, contact info@sealock.com.hk.

Care & Maintenance

  • Hand wash in cool water with mild detergent; machine washing abrades the repellent coating and stresses the window bonding.
  • Do not tumble dry, iron, or dry clean. Air dry away from direct heat.
  • Wipe the touch window with a soft damp cloth only — abrasive cloths and solvents cloud the film permanently.
  • Store flat, not folded across the window, and out of direct sunlight.
  • The repellent finish degrades with washing and wear; a spray-on DWR treatment restores it.
  • Empty the pack before storage — a phone left pressed against the window through a season sets a permanent impression.

Lightweight waist packs move in volume, and the margin sits in getting the colourway range and the branding right rather than in the construction. Samples ship in 7–15 days and we can send more than one colourway to support a range decision.
