The liner is a single RF-welded TPU chamber, so the internal corners have no needle perforations and no seam tape to peel as the adhesive cycles between warm and cold. That matters more on an insulated bag than on a dry bag: once melt-water reaches the foam layer through a stitch line, insulation performance drops permanently and the bag begins to hold odour, and no amount of cleaning reverses it. The anchor plates, handles and lid fittings are welded on as separate reinforcing patches rather than stitched through the waterproof wall.
With the airtight zipper closed, the interior is a sealed chamber rated IPX7 and verified by full water-immersion test, 2+ hours. The tote is leakproof in any orientation, so melt-water stays inside if it is laid flat in a truck bed, wedged into a boat locker or tipped during loading. It is not a pressure-rated product and is not intended for depth exposure; the vent valve exists because a bag sealed at ambient temperature and then chilled develops a slight internal pressure differential, and venting it makes the zipper easier to open and reduces strain on the welded seams.
Unlike a collapsible soft cooler, SL-I094 holds a rigid box form: the foam-stiffened walls and reinforced base keep the shape whether full or empty, so the tote stacks, stands and can be sat on, and the lid stays flat enough to use as a work surface for cutting bait or preparing food. The trade-off is that it does not fold down for storage, which is the right trade for vehicle-based and marine use and the wrong one for backpacking.
Standard insulation is high-density EPE foam on all faces including the lid. In our trials, a pre-chilled tote loaded at a 2:1 ice-to-contents ratio, closed and held at 25 °C ambient out of direct sun with the lid kept shut, still contained unmelted ice beyond the 48-hour mark. Results move substantially with ambient temperature, sun exposure, how often the lid is opened and whether the contents were chilled before loading, which is why the quick-access hatch matters in practice: taking one item through the hatch rather than opening the full lid is the single largest controllable factor in real-world retention. For programmes that need longer hold times in the same footprint, the insulation can be specified as high-density PU foam, EPP foam, an aerogel blanket, or a VIP vacuum panel, which gives the largest improvement per millimetre of wall thickness.

Centre-console and kayak fishing, where the tote straps down through its anchor plates and the flat lid doubles as a bait board; overlanding and truck-bed use; catering and food transport needing a wipe-clean food-grade liner; tailgating and beach days; medical and sample transport where the VIP panel option applies. Not intended for depth exposure or as a flotation device.
Every production run is checked at IQC, IPQC and OQC. The suite covers load testing to 1,500 cycles, zipper fatigue to 3,000 cycles, tensile and bonding strength on welded seams and anchor plates, salt-spray on hardware, abrasion on the base panel, colour fastness and colour difference against the approved sample, and full water immersion on finished units. Because the closure is an airtight zipper, every unit also goes through our customer inspection procedure — unboxing, vacuum extraction, 24-hour static rest and air-leak determination — which identifies pinhole weld faults and zip seating issues that a spray test will not reveal. Thermal profiles can be run to a buyer's own protocol and supplied with the sample. Third-party inspection by SGS or QIMA can be arranged at the buyer's cost.
RF-welded seamless food-grade TPU liner with no stitch holes anywhere in the water-holding body. Airtight zipper giving IPX7 and leakproof behaviour in any orientation. Lid hatch with its own insulated plug, so single items come out without opening the full lid. Vent valve for pressure relief after sealing. Eight moulded D-ring anchor plates for tie-down on a deck or in a truck bed. Reinforced wear base and self-supporting box form. Five insulation specifications available, from EPE up to VIP vacuum panel. MOQ 300 with full Pantone matching.
Screen printing suits solid one- to three-colour marks on TPU and resists abrasion and UV. Heat transfer handles gradients and photographic artwork. Welded TPU patches and raised silicone prints give a tonal, textured mark that matches the welded construction. Logos are placed away from the zipper path and the anchor plates so the print does not sit on a flex line or under a strap. Artwork is required as vector files; a digital placement proof is returned before sampling.
Sealock has manufactured waterproof and insulated gear for over 20 years, with factories in Guangdong, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — the second site giving brands a non-China origin option where tariff exposure matters. We hold ISO 9001, SGS, BSCI and GRS certification, and produce for brands including STANLEY, Hydro Flask, CORDOVA, attwood and West Marine.
High-frequency welding is the core process on this product, but sewn construction is an equally mature in-house capability, and most cooler programmes end up as a hybrid — a welded liner and body with sewn straps, pads and accessory pouches. A factory that only welds will push you toward the wrong construction for your price point. Most demanding requirements can be met, from a colour and logo change to a full ground-up development with new capacities, insulation systems or fittings; complex tooling adds time to the first sample cycle, which is worth building into the launch calendar early.
300 pieces per colour. Mixed colours on one purchase order are possible where the total reaches 300 and each colour reaches 100.
Price depends on quantity, insulation specification, fittings and logo method. The VIP vacuum panel and aerogel options carry a significant price step over standard EPE. Send your specification to info@sealock.com.hk and we will quote within one working day.
Yes. Screen print, heat transfer, welded patch, raised silicone print and woven labels are all available, with Pantone matching on shell, lid, liner and webbing. There is no extra logo charge at MOQ.
In our trials a pre-chilled tote at a 2:1 ice ratio, closed and held at 25 °C out of direct sun, still held unmelted ice beyond 48 hours. Ambient temperature, sun exposure and how often the lid is opened change this substantially. Using the lid hatch instead of opening the full lid makes a measurable difference.
Yes, IPX7. The airtight zipper and seamless welded liner keep water in and out in any orientation, verified by full water immersion of 2+ hours. It is not rated for depth or pressure exposure.
Pressure relief. Sealing the tote warm and then chilling it creates a slight vacuum that makes the zipper hard to open; the valve equalises it and reduces strain on the welded seams.
Yes. The liner is a food-grade welded TPU membrane with no fabric lining and no stitch holes, so it can be rinsed and wiped with mild detergent. Leave the lid open to air-dry before storage.
No. It is a self-supporting box form, which is what lets it stack, stand and carry a flat usable lid. For a collapsible cooler, see our soft-sided range.
EPE is the standard and the right choice for most consumer and marine programmes. PU foam and EPP step up the hold time at moderate cost. Aerogel and VIP vacuum panels are specified where the hold time must be achieved within a fixed external footprint — typically medical, sample transport or premium retail lines.
Rinse off salt and sand, lubricate the teeth with a silicone-based stick every few outings, and never force it closed over grit. Store with the zipper open.
Samples in 7–15 days. Production is 30–45 days after sample approval.
