Waterproof Duffel Bag
A waterproof duffel bag has to keep a full load dry on a boat deck, a motorcycle or an airport tarmac. Ours are made from PVC tarpaulin or TPU-laminated fabric with high-frequency welded seams, closed with a roll-top or an airtight zipper, and many convert to a backpack with removable straps. Sizes run from about 40 litres for weekend trips to 80 litres for long expeditions. Sealock has made waterproof bags for over 20 years at its own factories in Dongguan, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Colours, sizes, straps and logo can all be customised.

Choosing a Waterproof Duffel Bag

Size is the first question: around 40 litres suits a weekend or carry-on trip, 60 litres a week of travel, and 80 litres or more expeditions, boating and motorcycle touring. The closure is the second. A roll-top is simple, tough and fully submersible when rolled correctly; an airtight zipper opens faster and gives a cleaner look for travel ranges. Removable backpack straps turn a duffel into something that can be carried over longer distances, and lash points let it be strapped to a boat, a roof rack or a motorcycle.

PVC tarpaulin is the tough, cost-effective choice; TPU-laminated fabric is lighter and stays flexible in the cold.

Every order passes through incoming material inspection (IQC), in-process checks during welding and sewing (IPQC) and final inspection (OQC), with SGS or QIMA third-party inspection available on request. Our test programme covers seam tensile and bonding strength, load testing of 1,500+ cycles, zipper testing to 3,000 cycles, salt spray on hardware, abrasion, and colour fastness and colour difference against the approved sample. Waterproof ratings are verified on the bag itself: a heavy rain and water-jet test for IPX5 and IPX6 models and a full water-immersion test of 2+ hours for IPX7 and IPX8 models.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a waterproof duffel bag be used as carry-on luggage?

Smaller sizes, around 35 to 40 litres, usually fit airline carry-on limits, but check your airline's dimensions and weight limit before you fly.

What is the MOQ for custom waterproof duffel bags?

Usually 300 pieces per style; some models start at 200 or 500. Colours can often be split within one order.

How much do custom waterproof duffel bags cost?

Price depends on the material, size, closure, features, logo method and order quantity. Send us your specification or a reference sample and target quantity, and we will quote.

Can you add our logo and brand colours?

Yes. Screen printing, heat transfer and welded patches are the most common methods, and we can match Pantone colours for the fabric, webbing and zip pulls.

How long do samples and production take?

Samples usually take 7–15 days and bulk production 30–45 days after sample approval, from our factories in China or Vietnam.
