Product Description

Two independent seals instead of one. The SEALOCK SL-A101 Dual-Seal IPX8 Waterproof Phone Pouch closes with a press-to-lock sealing strip and then folds over onto a compression foam bar, creating two separate waterproof barriers between your smartphone and the water. If the first seal is ever disturbed by pressure, impact, or a trapped grain of sand, the second one is still holding.

Both faces of the pouch are functional. The front panel is a high-sensitivity transparent window that keeps the touchscreen fully operable, while the back carries a dedicated see-through camera window so photos and video can be shot without the lens firing through a printed or frosted panel. The result is a pouch that protects the phone without turning it into a sealed brick you can only look at.

Measuring 11 × 17.5 cm and available in yellow, black, and frost white, the SL-A101 is built for water parks, river rafting, stream tracing, seaside holidays, and shore fishing — the environments where a phone is most likely to get soaked, and most likely to be needed.

Why a Dual-Seal Closure Matters

Nearly every waterproof phone pouch on the market fails in the same place: the opening. A single sealing line — whether a slide lock, a clip bar, or a press strip — is a single point of failure. It only takes one contaminant on the sealing face, one clip that was not pressed fully home, or one sharp compression against a rock for water to find a path.

The SL-A101 addresses this by refusing to rely on one line of defence. The first seal is a full-width press-to-close strip running across the mouth of the pouch, closed by running a thumb and finger along its length. The top section is then folded down and clamped against a foam compression bar, which both blocks residual capillary paths and takes the mechanical load off the primary seal. Water reaching the phone would have to defeat both, in sequence.

Single-Seal Waterproof Pouch SEALOCK SL-A101 Dual-Seal Design
One sealing line at the opening Two independent sealing stages
A single contaminated seal face lets water in Second fold-over seal remains as backup
Full water pressure acts directly on the closure Fold-over stage absorbs mechanical load
Rear panel usually opaque or printed Dedicated transparent rear camera window

Two independent seals: a full-width press-to-close strip, then a fold-over foam compression bar.

Key Features

Dual Waterproof Sealing System

A press-to-close sealing strip forms the primary barrier; a fold-over foam compression bar forms the secondary barrier. Both must be defeated before water reaches the phone.

Dedicated Rear Camera Window

A transparent window on the back panel sits over the camera module, so photos and video can be taken without opening the pouch or shooting through an obstructed surface.

High-Sensitivity Touch Window

The front panel is made from a thin, high-clarity touch-transmissive film. Maps, messaging, camera controls, and navigation all work normally with the phone sealed inside.

IPX8 Waterproof Protection

Sealed against water, rain, spray, mud, sand, and dust, and verified in production by full water-immersion testing.

Three Colour Options

Available in high-visibility yellow, black, and frost white — yellow being the practical choice for open water, where a dropped pouch needs to be found again.

High-Frequency Welded Body

The pouch body is welded rather than stitched. There are no needle holes anywhere in the structure, so the only sealing interface is the closure itself.

Adjustable Neck Lanyard

A braided lanyard with an adjustable cord lock is included, allowing the pouch to be worn around the neck or shortened for use as a wrist strap.

Compact and Reusable

At 11 × 17.5 cm the pouch stays flat against the body rather than swinging, and it is designed for repeated seasonal use rather than single-trip disposal.

Clear Photography Through Both Faces

The transparent areas of the SL-A101 are not decorative cut-outs. Both the front touch window and the rear camera window use high-clarity film chosen for optical transmission as well as touch sensitivity, which is why the pouch can be used as a shooting tool rather than just a storage bag.

In practice this means the phone stays sealed for the entire activity. Launch the camera through the front window, turn the pouch to frame through the rear window, and shoot — no unsealing on a wet boat deck, no wet hands near an open phone, no re-sealing under time pressure with water still on the sealing faces. Most water damage happens during those brief moments the pouch is open, and eliminating them is a real reliability gain.

Explore More Waterproof Phone Pouches

If your requirement is straightforward everyday protection for beach trips, boating, and travel, our Universal Waterproof Phone Pouch covers that role with a conventional single-window construction.

For swimming, paddle boarding, and wet-weather use where a lightweight profile matters more than closure redundancy, the Waterproof Phone Pouch for Swimming is the better fit.

If underwater photography is the primary use case and the phone in question is a larger flagship, look at the Universal IPX8 Waterproof Phone Pouch with Camera Window (SL-A064), which fits handsets up to 7 inches and uses a dual ABS slide-lock closure.

The SL-A101 is the model to specify when closure redundancy is the priority — rental fleets, water park concessions, rafting operators, and promotional programmes where the pouch will be sealed and unsealed by people who have never used one before.

Multi-Layer Waterproof Construction

Waterproof performance is a property of the whole assembly, not of any single component. Each element of the SL-A101 is specified for its contribution to keeping water out and keeping the pouch serviceable across a full season of use.

High-Clarity PVC Body

Flexible PVC film combines optical transparency with the puncture and flex resistance needed for repeated folding at the closure.

Primary Press-Seal Strip

A full-width interlocking sealing strip closes across the mouth of the pouch and provides the first waterproof barrier.

Secondary Foam Compression Bar

The folded top section clamps against a foam sealing bar, closing residual capillary paths and taking mechanical load off the primary seal.

High-Frequency Welded Seams

All body seams are welded, not sewn. The absence of stitch holes removes the most common leakage path in fabric-based waterproof cases.

Reinforced Lanyard Anchor

The lanyard passes through a reinforced welded anchor point at the top of the pouch, above the sealing line, so load never acts on the seal itself.

How the Dual-Seal System Works

  1. Insert the smartphone with its camera facing the rear transparent window.
  2. Wipe the sealing faces clean and dry — sand and hair are the usual causes of leakage.
  3. Press the primary sealing strip closed from one end to the other, so trapped air escapes ahead of the seal.
  4. Fold the top section down onto the foam compression bar and press firmly along its full width.
  5. Check both seals visually, then confirm the closure is uniform along the whole opening before entering the water.

Closed correctly, the pouch delivers IPX8 waterproof protection for water park use, rafting, stream tracing, swimming, snorkeling, boating, and shore fishing.

OEM & ODM Manufacturing Services

SEALOCK has manufactured waterproof outdoor products for over 20 years, working with outdoor brands, importers, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, and promotional product companies across North America, Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia. Our OEM partners include Musto, AFTCO, West Marine, and attwood, among others in the marine and watersports segment.

Most requirements brought to our engineering team can be met, including ground-up development of new closure structures and dimensions rather than logo application alone. Complex custom development carries longer lead times than standard branding work, and we will give you a realistic schedule at quotation stage rather than an optimistic one you have to plan around later.

Manufacturing Process

Every SL-A101 is produced through a standardized sequence designed to hold sealing performance consistent across batches, which matters far more to a distributor than peak performance on a single sample.

01

Raw Material Inspection

PVC film, sealing strip stock, foam sealing bar, and lanyard components are inspected on arrival before entering production.

02

Precision Material Cutting

Automated cutting holds panel dimensions consistent, which is what allows the two sealing stages to align correctly at assembly.

03

High-Frequency Welding

Body seams and window frames are welded using high-frequency equipment, producing a continuous molecular bond with no stitch penetrations.

04

Seal Assembly

The primary sealing strip and secondary foam compression bar are fitted and checked for full-width engagement across the opening.

05

Waterproof Testing

Batch samples undergo full water-immersion testing of 2+ hours to verify sealing performance before packing.

06

Final Inspection & Packaging

Appearance, window clarity, and lanyard assembly are inspected before products are packed for export.

Quality Control & Performance Testing

Quality control runs across three stages — IQC on incoming materials, IPQC during production, and OQC before shipment — with third-party inspection by SGS or QIMA available on request. Customers are also welcome to run their own inspection procedure on site: unboxing, vacuum extraction, 24-hour static rest, and air-leak determination, executed in full.

Testing Item Purpose
Full Water Immersion (2+ hours) Verify IPX8 sealing performance of the complete closure assembly.
Seal Fatigue Test Evaluate repeated opening and closing of both sealing stages.
Bonding Strength Test Confirm the integrity of high-frequency welded seams and window frames.
Tensile Test Verify lanyard anchor strength under load.
Salt Spray Test Assess resistance of components to seawater exposure.
Abrasion & Colour Fastness Check surface durability and printed logo retention in service.
Colour Difference Inspection Maintain consistency across production batches and reorders.
Touch & Window Clarity Check Confirm touchscreen response and optical clarity of both windows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this pouch have two seals instead of one?

Because the opening is where waterproof pouches fail. A second, independent seal means a single compromised sealing face — a grain of sand, a partial closure, a hard knock — does not put the phone in the water.

Can I take photos without opening the pouch?

Yes. The rear transparent window sits over the camera module, and the front window keeps the touchscreen operable, so the phone stays sealed for the whole activity.

Does the touchscreen work underwater?

Above water it works normally. Underwater, capacitive screens respond unreliably regardless of which pouch is used — this is a property of the phone, not the pouch. Set up your camera before submerging, or use the volume button as a shutter.

What size phone fits?

The pouch measures 11 × 17.5 cm and suits smartphones up to approximately 6.5 inches. If you are buying for a fleet, request a sample and test it against your largest handset before ordering.

Will the seals loosen after a season of use?

Sealing strips wear with cycles, which is why we run seal fatigue testing. The most common real-world cause of premature failure is not wear but sand left on the sealing faces — rinsing with fresh water after each use matters more than anything else.

Can I store cards, cash, or keys as well?

Yes. Cash, bank cards, ID, and tickets all fit alongside or instead of a phone. Keep sharp-edged keys out — the PVC windows scratch.

Do you offer OEM logo printing?

Yes — silk screen printing, UV printing, Pantone colour matching, custom retail packaging, and full private-label manufacturing.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Standard MOQ is 300 pieces. For project-specific requirements, contact our sales team at info@sealock.com.hk.

How to Use the Waterproof Phone Pouch

The dual-seal closure is simple, but both stages have to be closed properly. Take thirty seconds over the sequence below and the pouch will do its job.

Step 1 – Inspect the Pouch

Check the windows for scratches or punctures, the welded seams for separation, and the sealing strip and foam bar for damage or debris. Do not use a damaged pouch.

Step 2 – Insert the Phone

Position the phone with its camera facing the rear transparent window, screen toward the front touch window.

Step 3 – Close the Primary Seal

Press the sealing strip closed from one end to the other so air escapes ahead of the seal. Confirm it is engaged along the full width.

Step 4 – Close the Secondary Seal

Fold the top section down onto the foam compression bar and press firmly across the whole width.

Step 5 – Test Before First Use

Seal a dry tissue inside and immerse the empty pouch in clean water for several minutes. If the tissue is dry afterwards, the closure is sound.

Care & Maintenance

Almost all premature failures in waterproof phone pouches trace back to contaminated or degraded sealing faces, so maintenance is mostly a matter of keeping those faces clean.

  • Rinse with fresh water after any exposure to seawater, chlorinated pools, or silty river water.
  • Pay particular attention to the sealing strip and foam bar — flush sand out of the strip channel rather than wiping over it.
  • Air dry fully, opened out, before storage.
  • Store flat and out of direct sunlight; UV exposure embrittles PVC over time.
  • Avoid repeatedly folding along the same crease outside the designed fold line.
  • Keep keys and other sharp objects away from the transparent windows.
  • Repeat the tissue immersion test at the start of each season.

Important Safety Notes

  • Always test the pouch empty before entrusting a phone to it, and again after any long period of storage.
  • Both seals must be fully closed before entering the water — the secondary seal is a backup, not a substitute for the primary one.
  • The pouch provides waterproof protection only; it does not protect against impact, crushing, or extreme heat.
  • Touchscreen response drops underwater because of how capacitive screens behave in water.
  • Fingerprint sensors generally will not read through the window film.
  • Never use a pouch with damaged windows, separated seams, or a worn sealing strip.
