Sealock Completes an OEM Production Run of Welded Waterproof Gear Bags for an Overseas Brand

A batch of matte-grey welded waterproof gear bags has moved off the assembly line and into final inspection and packing at Sealock (Dongguan Yifulong Outdoor Products Co., Ltd.). Built to an overseas brand customer's specification, the order pairs a wide-mouth waterproof tote with a roll-top waterproof carrier, and is now being poly-bagged and crated for shipment. It is a routine but telling snapshot of what a dedicated waterproof-bag manufacturer looks like at full pace.

One order, two waterproof structures

The run covers two form factors from the same waterproof platform. The first is a structured, wide-mouth tote with twin carry handles and a flat waterproof zippered front pocket. The second is a roll-top carrier with a front zip pocket and side compression straps, aimed at riders and gear haulers who need a fully closed, weather-sealed load. Both share the same core: a high-frequency welded TPU body rather than a stitched one, so water has no needle holes to travel through.

Open either bag and the construction speaks for itself: a glossy welded waterproof lining, clean bonded seams, an internal zippered mesh pocket for small items, and a semi-rigid base panel that lets the bag stand and hold its shape when loaded.

Where the waterproofing actually comes from

For any bag sold on a waterproof claim, the seam is the weak point. Sealock closes the body with high-frequency welding, fusing the coated fabric into a continuous, hole-free joint. Paired with a sealed or roll-top closure, that construction is what carries the product from "water-resistant" into genuinely waterproof territory — the same welding discipline the factory has built its name on across dry bags, cooler bags and technical luggage for more than two decades.

It is worth being precise here: welded TPU bodies are what earn a submersible-grade waterproof rating; a stitched or merely coated bag does not. This order sits firmly in the welded-body category.

Inspected by hand, unit by unit

Before anything is bagged, each piece passes a manual inspection station. Workers wipe down the body, check zipper travel and seam integrity, confirm hardware and strap security, and set aside anything that does not meet standard. Only cleared units move on to protective poly-bagging and crating.

Every unit is wiped down and inspected by hand before packing.
Cleared units are poly-bagged and crated for shipment.

Built to a manufacturer's standard, not a trader's

Founded in 2003, Sealock is a manufacturer first — it welds, assembles and inspects in-house rather than sourcing finished bags on someone else's behalf. With production bases in Dongguan, China and Vietnam, the factory supplies OEM and ODM programs to outdoor, marine and lifestyle brands worldwide, spanning waterproof dry bags, soft cooler bags and technical waterproof luggage. Its systems and certifications include ISO 9001, BSCI, SMETA and GRS.

For brands weighing a custom waterproof-bag program, that in-house control is the point: one factory owns the print, the welding, the hardware fit and the final QC — which is exactly what keeps a waterproof claim from failing in the field.
